Winter Walks at Llanerchaeron

Winter Walks at Llanerchaeron

Walking can be the best way to get outdoors especially over the winter months and help you to keep those New Year Resolutions. While it might be getting chilly in the winter months, it's an excuse to wrap up warm, put on your scarf and gloves and get out and about at Llanerchaeron.

What will we see?

We have plenty of walks here at Llanerchaeron for visitors to enjoy over the winter months. With a walk around the estate during opening hours you will get to wander around the farm, gardens and perhaps see the frost making its way around the lake.

Another Llanerchaeron walk takes you around our parkland, taking in the disused railway halt that ran from Carmarthen to Aberystywth. Perhaps you would like a stroll through the woods, looking out for the wildlife and the river aeron running alongside the path. In fact this valley is known as the Aeron Valley, renowned for it's fruitfulness and berries. There are still some to spot over this winter period.

Have a treat

While we are open you can enjoy a nice hot drink in our ticket office at the end of your walk. Or why not have a look in our shop and see what treats are on offer at this time of year?
We're open 11:30am-3:30pm until the 4th January except for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, we are open 11:30am-3:30pm weekends only from the 4th January.
