Timed ticketing at Montacute
Montacute House will be using a timed ticket system to access the house during the school holidays and bank holidays starting from Saturday 10 August. This will run for remainder of the summer holidays.
Why have timed entry tickets been introduced?
The timed ticket entry will enable staff to better manage visitor flow and protect the house during this busy period. Conservation is at the heart of everything we do at the National Trust and we are committed to preserving Montacute House for future generations so they can continue to make unforgettable memories.
This also makes your visit more enjoyable, giving you the time and leisure to discover the fascinating house and its collection in a more relaxed environment.
How much does it cost?
The timed entry ticket is free; it’s included in the normal admission price or member admission.
Do I have to book my timed entry ticket in advance?
No, the timed ticket will be issued on arrival.
When will I have to leave the house?
Regardless of your entry time slot, you can spend as long as you like up until the house closes at the end of the day.
Do I need a timed entry ticket for the garden and parkland?
Not at all. At any time during your visit you can explore our parklands and trails.
