So grab a blanket or chair, tuck into a picnic or treat yourself at one of the food and drink stalls and be transported to another world all against the backdrop of the beautiful house and grounds of Ormesby Hall.
What film will you choose?

West Side Story
Directed by Academy Award® winner Steven Spielberg, from a screenplay by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award® winner Tony Kushner, West Side Story tells the classic tale of fierce rivalries and young love in 1957 New York City. This reimagining of the beloved musical stars Ansel Elgort (Tony); Rachel Zegler (María); Ariana DeBose (Anita); David Alvarez (Bernardo); Mike Faist (Riff); Josh Andrés Rivera (Chino); Ana Isabelle (Rosalía); Corey Stoll (Lieutenant Schrank); Brian d’Arcy James (Officer Krupke); and Rita Moreno (as Valentina, who owns the corner store in which Tony works). Moreno – one of only three artists to be honored with Academy®, Emmy®, GRAMMY®, Tony® and Peabody Awards – also serves as one of the film’s executive producers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I bring my own food and drink?
You are welcome to bring your own food and drink. There will be food, snacks, hot and cold drinks and bar available on the evening. No BBQs or glass allowed on site.
Are there toilet facilities?
There are toilets onsite, including an accessible toilet.
Is there onsite parking?
Parking is only available in the main car park: TS3 0SR.
Is there wheelchair access?
The pathways to the seating area is on gravel and grass on one level. Please let us know if you require any additional support.
Do I need a paper ticket?
All of the ticketing is done electronically so you will not be sent a physical ticket. We advise loading them onto your phone or tablet so they can be scanned at the ticket tent on entry.
Can I buy a ticket on the event evening?
Tickets must be purchased in advance and are sold online only. Our outdoor cinema events sell out quickly, so book your tickets soon.
Are children allowed to attend?
Any children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged over 18. The film certification does apply, so please check before booking your tickets. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone aged under 16 who is unaccompanied or who is under the certification age. Valid photographic ID will be required at the ticket check in, for anyone believe to be under the age of ticket certification.
Can I bring my dog?
Only assistant dogs allowed.
When does the film start?
You can arrive onsite from 6.30pm and the film starts approximately 15 minutes before sunset, but please check your booking confirmation email for more details.
Is seating provided?
There is no seating provided, you will need to bring your own blanket or camping chair to sit on. We do not allow tents, gazebos or tables.
What if it rains?
Screenings will go ahead come rain or shine, so dress prepared for the great British weather! We ask that you please don’t bring umbrellas, as they block the view for others.
Can I smoke?
Smoking, e-cigs and vapes are not allowed within the seating areas for the comfort of all guests. There will be a designated smoking area away from the seating area.
Can I get a refund?
Tickets are non-refundable.
