The A4 (Great West Road) has separated cycle lanes in both directions between Hounslow and Chiswick. From Chiswick Roundabout, the A4 links up with the CS9 cycle route running to Kensington Olympia. Syon Lane railway station is a short distance from the A4, please check restrictions on the South Western Railway website.
To reach Osterley Park from the A4, turn at Thornbury Road. The main entrance gate to the park is ahead. Once in the park, use the shared path on the left-hand side in order to avoid speed-dips in the road. There is a gate at the top end of the main drive, but it has an opening at the side allowing for cycle entry. Cycle round the lake and head for the stables courtyard.
From Ealing, Southall or Norwood Green we recommend arriving via Osterley Lane, which is a quiet country lane in London with minimal traffic. If cycling the Grand Union Canal, leave the canal near to Tentelow Lane before turning into Osterley Lane. Once on Osterley Lane, shortly after the lane has crossed the M4 motorway there is a right-hand turn directly into the Park. There is a gate with an opening at the side allowing for cycle entry. Cycle straight until the road runs out, then take a right-hand turn towards the stable courtyard.
Plan your route to Osterley Park using CycleStreets journey planner via the link below. Alternatively use TFL website..
E-bikes are available in the London Boroughs of Ealing and Hounslow. Please check the respective councils' websites for details and restrictions on use ahead of your journey and please do not leave e-bikes in the park.
