There is something truly magical about a great story.  Hearing those words read aloud, they seem to jump from the page, igniting your imagination and transporting you to another world.

Just as important as having a really great story to tell, is the right setting to tell it. We’ve found just the right spot to bring a very special story to life every Thursday throughout the holidays, come rain or shine.

Local storyteller and professional actress Gillian Brownson will breathe life into the fabulously exciting story “The Great Paper Caper” by Oliver Jeffers – in the amazing surroundings of Penrhyn Castle.

This renowned children’s book is both a funny and poignant tale, filled with mystery and adventure. “The Great Paper Caper” shines light onto some very important issues that are close to our hearts, namely conservation and the preservation of the past whilst also looking to the future; it really is a story for our time.

" A thrilling tale of mystery, crime, alibis, paper planes and a BEAR who wanted to win."
- The Great Paper Caper by Oliver Jeffers

As well as bringing these stories to life you can also enjoy special paper plane craft making sessions based around this magical story.

If you love adventure, a thrilling tale, a mysterious crime and some very skilled paper plane making, then you are in for a treat.

Join us every Thursday throughout the summer holidays for a special story told in a very special place (28 July to 31 August 2017)
