Spot Gulliver's lost luggage at Petworth House and Park
Inspired by a painting of a scene from Gulliver's Travels, explore the Pleasure Ground and find the luggage Gulliver left behind.
This early spring go on an adventure around the Pleasure Ground and spot hidden items amongst the trees and pathways of the Pleasure Ground.
Inspired by Charles Robert Leslie's (1794-1859) Gulliver presented to the Queen of Brobdignag from Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels, explore the Pleasure Ground and look for the items Gulliver might have left behind.
Pick up the list of missing items from reception and tick off the items as you spot them.
The Pleasure Ground has hard paths and is suitable for push chairs can be muddy in wet weather - so perfect for a wet welly adventure!
Perfect for our younger visitors the adventure takes about 20 minutes, perfect to let off any steam and before anyone gets too cold or wet!
The fun doesn't stop there, you can continue your journey and pick up an illustrated copy of Gulliver's Travels for children in the shop. Meanwhile over in the café they are serving little Lilliputian biscuits. You can also venture inside the house to see the painting that inspired our half-term fun for yourself!
Gulliver's Lost Luggage is a recommended £1 donation but normal admission charges do apply.
