Journeys of the Imagination at Quarry Bank

Journeys of the Imagination illustration with all characters

Pack your bags for an adventure as you discover the incredible journeys made by the people of Quarry Bank. Taking inspiration from the diaries, letters and photographs in the archive, we’re recreating, rewriting and reinventing incredible journeys made to and from Quarry Bank. From 5 May to 28 October 2018, follow an interactive trail and come along to themed events where you can take a journey into the past and your own imagination.

Journeys of the Imagination takes you on an interactive trail around Quarry Bank to discover six stories. On the trail you can travel to India with Elizabeth Mary Greg as she follows her dream of being an explorer, hide from the mill overlookers with runaway apprentice William Tittensor, and journey through Spain and Portugal with Robert Hyde Greg. Over the school holidays, there’ll be even more adventures with interactive family events (Quarry Bank admission charges apply).
