Children's Book Festival at Quarry Bank / Saturday 23 June

Welcome to the Children’s Book Festival at Quarry Bank on 23 - 24 June 2018. Stories will come to life across the weekend, as some of your best-loved children’s authors and illustrators host workshops, readings and book signings. Here you can see the programme of events for Saturday 23 June, find your favourite author and book tickets. Each workshop has a small charge per person, click on the event for details. All children must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Join Gruffalo illustrator Axel Scheffler as he introduces the latest adventures of his delightful characters, Pip and Posy. Join author Tracey Corderoy and illustrator Steven Lenton for some fabulous fun with their loveable creations, Shifty McGifty and Slippery Sam. Hear all about the robber dogs turned crime-solving bakers and their latest adventures in this fun-packed event full of storytelling, participation and laugh-out-loud games. Corderoy is a former primary school teacher turned writer. She has authored dozens of brilliant picture books and hilarious works of fiction for young readers. Lenton is well known for his wonderful illustrations of the 'Shifty McGifty and Slippery Sam' books and is also the author and illustrator of 'Princess Daisy and the Dragon and the Nincompoop Knights'.
