Join a gardening talk this year at Scotney Castle

If gardening is your passion and you'd like to meet some of our gardeners to hear about different aspects of looking after the garden at Scotney Castle, make a date to join one of our free talks this year.

It's no small task looking after the estate at Scotney Castle. In fact, it takes a team of dedicated gardeners plus a small army of volunteers working in the Walled Garden, formal garden and wider estate to look after the 770 acres. Every season brings it's own challenges, not to mention the historical significance of some of the trees and plants in the garden needing special care too.

Over the coming weeks, our garden team are running a series of talks to share some of their expertise and pass on gardening tips. Plus they will be talking about the major conservation work going on, particularly in the formal  garden, and why it's important that it's done. So take a look at the schedule of talks and plan your visit to Scotney Castle to join a talk. You can make an afternoon of it with a visit to the house, lunch or refreshments in the tea-room and perhaps a plant or pot from the shop to take home with you too.

Watch this space as more talks are added.
