Join a Walled Garden Wednesday talk this year at Scotney Castle
If gardening is your passion and you'd like to meet some of our team to hear about different aspects of looking after Scotney Castle, make a date to join one of our free garden talks this year.
It's no small task looking after the 780 acres of grounds at Scotney Castle. In fact, it takes a team of dedicated gardeners plus a small army of volunteers working in the Walled Garden, formal garden and wider estate. Every season brings it's own challenges, not to mention the special care and attention given to some of the trees and plants of historical significance too.
Over the coming months, you can get involved with our Walled Garden team who are running a series of talks to share some of their expertise and pass on gardening tips for growing and caring for fruit and vegetables. So take a look at the schedule of talks and plan your visit to Scotney Castle to join one. You can make an afternoon of it with a visit to the house, lunch or refreshments in the tea-room and perhaps a plant or pot from the shop to take home with you too.
Which talk interests you?
All Walled Garden Wednesday talks take place from 2-3pm. Please have your membership card scanned at Visitor Reception then make your way to the entrance gates of the Walled Garden to join in.
