Festive magic at Seaton Delaval Hall

Seaton Delaval Hall at night with two sparkling Christmas trees

Enjoy festive fun for all the family this Christmas.

It’s the perfect time of year to wrap up warm and enjoy a refreshing walk around the grounds, with the frosty parterre twinkling in the winter sunshine.

There’s no better festive treat than mulled wine and mince pies, especially when served with a smile in the Stables café.

Every weekend from now until Christmas, listen to live music in the West Wing Old Kitchen, and look out for the Central Hall adorned with beautiful Christmas decorations.

If the festive foliage around the site inspires you, you can book onto one of our Wreath Making Workshops on selected dates in December.

The rest of the grounds are dressed for the occasion too; sparkling Christmas trees stand tall by the Hall, and there'll also be a magical grotto where Father Christmas might just be waiting for you!

Can you find where Father Christmas has parked his sleigh? Take a picture in it and show us your snaps on our social media pages, and don't forget to follow the bauble trail to solve the festive rhyme.

Need to do a spot of Christmas shopping? The shop is stocked full of treats for those on the nice list, the foodie in your life, or your favourite green thumb. Or, open the doors to 500 special places with a gift membership.

Don't forget, we'll be open on Christmas Eve in case you need to escape the chaos for a couple of hours.
