Easter at Snowshill

A family enjoying the garden at Snowshill in spring

Snowshill may have been living up to its name of late but spring is definitely in the air. Easter is a wonderful time to celebrate all that nature has to offer.

Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt

The Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt is running throughout the Easter holidays at Snowshill from Friday 30 March to Sunday 15 April. This is likely to be popular over the Easter weekend so if you’d like to come at a quieter time, please come along on a weekday. Find out more about the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt here.

Garden

Spring is in the air and over the past few weeks the garden has started to come to life. The recent snow and rain has caused some of the grass to become quite fragile. Over the next few weeks some of the lawned areas of the garden will be temporarily closed to allow the grass to recover. This will not impact on your visit to the main ‘garden rooms’ which Mr Wade created. By conserving the lawned areas now, when the summer sunshine arrives, we can open them for everyone to enjoy the garden to the full.

Manor

Entrance to the manor is by timed tickets. These cannot be booked in advance; they are available on a first come, first served basis. On busy days, especially over the Easter weekend and weekends during the holidays tickets may sell out. If you would like to come at a quieter time, please come along on a weekday. Garden only tickets allow you access to the garden, the Priest’s House, the shop and tea-room.

Car parking

The recent wintery weather has had an impact on our overflow car park. We may have fewer overflow car parking spaces over Easter. Queues to park over the Easter weekend are likely, but over the Easter holidays we expect parking to be less busy. Please check our website for the latest update before you travel.
