May half term at Speke Hall

In 2018 we're exploring Victorian history over the school holidays. Did you know that Victorians loved bringing medieval history to life? From knights in shining armour to marvellous maidens, they revived old myths and legends and explored them in art and literature. Join us for a half-term fit for a fairytale!

Valiant Victorians will be running from Saturday 26 May to Sunday 10 June. Activities will run throughout the day from 10.30am to 4pm and you can see the event timetable here. We hope it's useful in planning your day.

Over the half term you can try activities including promenade theatre with a character straight from the legends of King Arthur, an indoor trail inside the Hall, Tudor and Victorian dressing up activities, an outdoor trail, making your own medieval hat (jester hats, crowns and princess hats) and story time on the Orchard.

Normal admission prices apply (free for NT members and children under 5).

In addition to the Valiant Victorians event, there's always plenty to see and do at Speke for children of all ages. Solve the mystery of the hedge maze, explore the Giant Childe of Hale play trail or let off some steam in our two play areas, including our wonderful woodland play area. If you want to bring a family picnic then there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy it, or you can pop into our restaurant to treat yourself to a tasty lunch, kids box or something from our great range of handmade cakes.

If you're not a member, why not consider joining at Speke Hall on the day? Membership options start from just £5.40 a month and our Reception team will be delighted to talk you through what's available. It's great value for money and there's plenty to keep your little ones entertained at Speke Hall, visit after visit.
