The Hall closes on 10 December to allow vital winter conservation work to take place but festive fun continues down at Home Farm and in the estate over the weekend of 16 & 17 December. It's the perfect chance to get out of the stuffy city centre and into the fresh air and beautiful surroundings of our grounds and gardens.
For those who haven’t quite got all their Christmas presents yet, there’ll be stalls from some of our favourite local suppliers so you can pick up unusual and special gifts. Home Farm restaurant is open on both days so why not treat yourself to one of our Christmas speciality dishes – we recommend the Victoria sponge with mulled wine jam – or let the family have a go at roasting marshmallows?
With a warm drink in hand, relax and enjoy the beautiful sounds of some of Liverpool’s best local musicians! Music will be performed by Molly Hughes, an up and coming singer songwriter, and local band The Hushtones who will be treating us to some of their ‘soulful harmonies and catchy melodies’! Sound management will be provided by Sound Control.
Mersey Wave choir will be here on both days to lead a Christmas singing walk around the grounds for you to join in with! Take part at 12pm or 2.30pm
If you want to explore the grounds and gardens then we've got some great events for you to join in with. Wrap up warm and take part in the Tinsel Toddle (1.30pm, Sat & Sun) or bring your four-legged friend along at 11am on Saturday to run or walk the Rudog Dash. There'll be a prize for the best Christmas costume!
At 11.30am, 2pm and 3pm on both days, it’s time to join in with the magic of winter on Gatling the Winter Wizard’s enchanting outdoor tour. Watch in wonder as he defies the laws of physics and casts magical spells!
As part of the Winter Weekend, Father and Mrs Christmas will be back at the grotto. Tickets are now fully sold but if you've pre-booked, make sure you're at the Kitchen Garden entrance a few minutes before the time on your ticket.
Normal grounds admission prices apply for entry over the weekend - free for NT members and children under 5.
On the two days before the weekend, why not join us for Breakfast with Father Christmas? This special morning event will feature a delicious hot breakfast, storytime with Father Christmas and, of course, presents! Tickets are priced at £10 for children and £6.50 for adults.
