Chough nest proctection volunteers
Can you help us protect the Cornish Chough in West Cornwall? We are looking for volunteers to watch wild choughs in their natural environment, helping to protect their nest from disturbance; giving these charasmatic crows a helping hand to re-establish here in Cornwall. Mayon Lookout volunteers
Looking for your next adventure? Volunteering at the refurbished Mayon Lookout could have you helping record and monitor wildlife to engaging with visitors all whilst taking in the breathtaking views of Sennen Cove and the wild Atlantic sea. You don't need to be an expert just happy to talk to people, keen to work outdoors and willing to learn. West Cornwall is well-known for being scattered with amazing archaeology and you could be involved with helping to conserve these special places for the future. This role would include learning about the places we look after and getting out and about surveying them regularly to ensure that they are accessible and undamaged. Volunteer Nature Recorders
We are looking for wildlife enthusiasts in West Cornwall who are looking to volunteer their time to help carry out bird, butterfly or botany surveys at some of our countryside sites, to help measure the effects of habitat management. Sites that will be surveyed twice per year on an ongoing basis include Porthminster, Zennor head, Gurnards head, Boswednack, Botallack, Kenidjack, Mayon cliff, Penberth, Cudden point, Trewavas and Trenow. Volunteer Dog Rangers
Are you a regular dog walker at National Trust places looking to volunteer? We are looking for local volunteers in West Cornwall to be ambassadors of responsible dog ownership who can engage with other dog walkers to promote responsible dog ownership.
This might be through making people aware where dog waste bins are, handing out dog waste bags and talking about managing dogs appropriately around livestock.
