Explore something new

Bluebells at Sudbury Hall, Derbyshire

Birds are singing and spring flowers are in full bloom. It’s the perfect setting for a stroll along the Hall or a rest outside the tea-room with a drink and a slice of something tasty.

Enjoy a picnic in the garden and relax among the bluebells and daffodils. Visit the boathouse, just a short walk away, and see if you can spot any wildlife.

Explore hidden areas

Visit the recently opened basements and help us bring this space to life. We’re discovering more about Sudbury Hall as part of this special project and would love to hear your thoughts.

The basements cover nearly the entire footprint of the building and the beer cellar and cold store are just some of the rooms waiting to be explored.

Outdoor adventure

Pick up a free copy of the 50 things to do before you’re 11 ¾ booklet and explore the grounds to see how many activities you can tick off. Climb a tree, hunt for bugs and see how many birds you can spot along the lake.

There’s plenty of space to burn off some energy in the gardens and children can tackle obstacles in the woodland play area.
