We're open! Spring brings new adventures at Sudbury

It's the start of a new season which brings new beginnings and exciting adventures around every corner. We're opening our doors every day so you can spring into action at Sudbury.

Help brush off those winter blues with a springtime adventure at Sudbury before the Easter holiday crowds descend. It’s the perfect time for a quiet stroll by the lake or get cosy in the tea-room with a hot drink and a slice of something tasty.

Spring is a beautiful time here at Sudbury as new life starts to take shape in the gardens. It's a great time to avoid the holiday crowds and enjoy wildlife spotting down by the lake, or take a stroll around the estate village. It may seem calm around the grounds but inside the hall and museum our conservation teams have been busy spring cleaning...

Family outdoor adventure

If you're visiting with the little ones make sure you pick up a free copy of the 50 things to do before you’re 11 ¾ booklet and explore the grounds to see how many activities you can tick off. Climb a tree, hunt for bugs and see how many birds you can spot along the lake. There’s plenty of space to burn off some energy in the gardens and explore in the woodland play area. If you have some energy left, our activity booklet is available from the gift shop and features all the best things to see and do around Sudbury including wildlife activities, recipes, colouring and puzzles.
