Groups visits to Tintagel Old Post Office

School group enjoying a Victorian activity day at Tintagel Old Post Office, Cornwall

The house contains a wealth of history to be discovered and the site provides a convenient place to meet in the centre of the village and opposite King Arthur's Arms Inn carpark (not National Trust).

As the rooms are very small large groups need to be divided for them to get the most out of their visit. We advise groups of larger than ten to book in advance.

Self-guided tours

As the house is so quaint, we encourage small groups to take themselves on guided tours around the building. We can provide information in English, German, French, Dutch, Spanish, Swedish and Italian.

Five hot tips for group leaders

  • Book your group of ten or more in advance and get reduced entry prices
  • The tour leader gets in for free
  • There is coach parking (not National Trust) directly opposite the site
  • The Old Post Office provides a great central meeting place for groups
  • We can provide house guides in a variety of languages

Large groups

We ask large groups to split into smaller groups of six people to tour the house. The rest of the group are welcome to explore the garden whilst waiting. A group of 40 can tour the house in about 45 minutes.

School groups

We are able to provide special interest tours and activity days for schools at certain times of the year.
