Situated in its own walled garden just off the main car park, you don't need to pay an admission fee to visit the café.

What’s on the menu

We're serving hot and cold drinks and Callestick ice cream for a delicious cool taste of Cornwall along with a range of cakes and of course, Cornish cream teas.

Café opening hours & safety

The café has both indoor and outdoor seating and is open Sunday to Thursday 10-3 with last orders at 2.30. We continue to maintain high standards of cleanliness and till and collection points are screened. Face coverings are recommended in enclosed, crowded areas.

Hand sanitiser will be available should visitors wish to use it. Thank you for making this a safe experience for everyone.

Plant centre

If after visiting the garden you’re feeling enthusiastic about your own growing space, you can take home a living memory with our range of peat-free Trengwainton-inspired plants. We also have ornaments for the garden and some of the tools you’ll need to get the gardening done.

We also have a second-hand bookshop in the former head gardener’s cottage in the walled garden, with a whole range of subjects on offer. Here, you can also find produce from the kitchen garden on days when the gardeners have been harvesting.
