February half-term fun at Trengwainton

Children exploring in wellies at Trengwainton Garden, Cornwall

From 15 February you can join the garden in stirring from its winter slumber with our fun Wakey-wakey garden trail.

February half term for all the family

While we’re in lockdown for the start of 2021 and no events are planned, there’s still lots to keep little ones busy at home or in your local area this February half term. From finding a new hobby, being inspired by '50 things to do before you're 11¾' or discovering a new favourite book, we've got plenty of ideas for outdoor and indoor family fun.

Getting a wriggle on

Can you stretch like the bulbs pushing their way up through the soil, or uncurl like the fronds on the giant tree ferns? Perhaps scampering like a squirrel is more your thing, or getting a wriggle on like the worms?

Follow the trail around the garden and you can have a go at all these challenges and more, as well as spotting the signs of spring.

50 things to do before you’re 11¾

While you’re in the garden, how about trying some of the 50 things to do before you’re 11¾? The Wakey-wakey garden trail can count towards no.50, (Go on a nature adventure), and if you pop on a pair of wellies you’ve also got no.6 covered (Go welly wandering). You can ‘Discover what’s in a pond’ (no.35) or ‘Go cloud watching’ on the Terrace (no.33).
