Autumn walks at Tyntesfield

Tyntesfield autumn mist

Make the most of the autumn colour with walks across the Tyntesfield estate.

There are plenty of ways to see Tyntesfield in its autumn finest, whether on a guided walk, a self led trail or just a wander through the acres of parkland.

A guided walk with one of Tyntesfield's estate guides is a great way to find out more about the estate's unique history. You can join short walks on a variety of topics almost every day - please ask the ticket office team for times and availability when you arrive - or book a place on one of our longer, seasonal walks. Check out the What's On pages for more information.

Walking routes

We have a number of suggested routes for walking around the Tyntesfield estate. They cover a range of terrains and abilities and you can download or print them before you visit.

From mid-October, the leaves in Tyntesfield's woodland begin to change, making it the perfect place to catch some autumn colour.

Walking at Tyntesfield

With over 540 acres to explore, the Tyntesfield estate is a great place to stretch your legs.

A different way to see the estate

There are a variety of events throughout the year that celebrate the autumn colour. Why not join us on a sketching tour to capture some of these beautiful colours, or take part in a family activity?

Finish with a warm up?

The Pavilion cafe at the bottom of the estate - with its selection of snacks, cakes and hot drinks - is the perfect place to warm up after an autumn walk through the grounds.

Just outside is the Orchard play area, great for our littlest visitors to use up any extra energy...
