Guided Bat Walk

Experience the magic of the forest after dark on a captivating bat walk at Hatfield Forest.

  • Booking essential

As dusk settles over this ancient landscape, join our rangers to discover the fascinating nocturnal world of bats. Using special bat detectors, you’ll listen to their high-frequency echolocation calls and learn how to identify different species as they flit through the twilight skies. From Common Pipistrelles skimming over the lake to Noctules soaring above the wood pasture, this is a unique opportunity to witness some of Britain’s most elusive mammals in their natural habitat.
