Lucy Caddel: The Orangery Exhibition 2026

Discover a stunning new exhibition by local artist Lucy Caddel in the beautiful Orangery at Powis Castle and Garden.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

From 4-7 September, explore a brand-new collection of paintings created exclusively for The Orangery Exhibition 2026. Set on the spectacular Italianate Terraces, this special exhibition celebrates landscape, nature and place through a series of original works inspired by the world around us.

You may already know Lucy from her popular plein air painting sessions at Powis Castle and Attingham Park, where she helped people develop their creativity while drawing inspiration from the estate's historic gardens and surroundings. Her work has also been exhibited at the Royal Cambrian Academy, Herbert Art Gallery & Museum, and Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery.

Meet Lucy throughout the weekend and find out more about the inspiration and techniques behind her work. Original artworks, signed prints and exclusive exhibition merchandise will be available to purchase.

Families are welcome, with creative art activities inspired by the exhibition taking place over the weekend for younger visitors.

Whether you're an art lover, looking for creative inspiration or simply want to enjoy a day out at Powis Castle and Garden, this exhibition offers a unique opportunity to experience contemporary art in a remarkable setting.

Normal admission charges apply. All artwork is available for purchase unless otherwise stated.
