Week 1 - Plant it, grow it, eat it! (23-29 July)
In the first week of the summer holidays, find out about quick growing edibles and plant up your own seeds to take home and grow, ready for future dinner times! Enjoy The Very Hungry Caterpillar themed crafts in Tooblez.
Week 2 – Mysterious mini-beasts – bugs and butterflies (30 July-5 August)
During the second week of the holidays, join one of the Wallington Ranger’s to do some bug and butterfly hunting in the wild flower meadow and woodlands. Take part in the Big Butterfly Count with us and get creative with some insect themed crafts.
Week 3 – The Secret Life of Trees (6-12 August)
Enjoy making your own leafy prints using different techniques. Take a walk with the Countryside Manager and hear all about the folklore around people and trees. For indoor fun, add your own leaf-shaped nature themed picture to our tree.
Week 4 – Busy bees (13-19 August)
Hear all about the wonderful world of bees as you meet our expert bee keepers. Enjoy a talk and spot some bees amongst the flowers. Bee crafts and activities will be taking place in Toobelz house all week.
Week 5 – Life on the Wing - feathered friends (20-26 August)
Head out and about for a spell of bird-watching and then take some time to create your own feathered friend to take home. On Thursday 23 August, make your own Kite with Jenny Dockett. There will be 11 half hour sessions available from 10.30am (maximum of 20 children per session). £1 per child.
Week 6 – Dragonflies and Ducks (27 August-2 September)
Join a Wallington team member for river dipping, looking at what lies beneath the water and create a watery themed picture using wet felting. For fun in Toobelz, there will be lots of nature-themed fun and crafts.
