Sun Monument History Walk
This summer, embark on a history walk to the Sun Monument and discover the remarkable story of medical pioneer Lady Mary Wortley Montagu, who overcame prejudice against both gender and race to introduce preventative medicine to Britain 300 years ago.
What: Enjoy a walk up to the Sun Monument, with various stops en route.
When: Every Tuesday from 29 June
Time: 11.30am - 12.15pm
Where: Meet at the Visitor Information Point (Green Gazebo located to the left of the Long Barn cafe).
Additional information: This walk and talk lasts about 45 minutes. Please come dressed for the weather with sturdy walking shoes. Advanced booking is not required.
