Playful days are what the summer is all about and here at Wray Castle we’ve got lots to keep the whole family entertained.

Take to the water

The whole family can try their hand at sailing on England’s largest lake with these fun taster sessions.  Taking place every Tuesday and Thursday during the summer holidays from 24 July to 30 August. See the event listings for more information. (Sailing for adults and children or children only)

50 things self-led activites

Whether you’re building a den, skimming a stone across Windermere or making a daisy chain on the west lawns; tick off a few items from your 50 things list during your visit.

Family dressing up

Our fancy dress outfits come in all shapes and sizes so choose your character and become a princess, knight, king or queen for the day!

Other fun stuff

Inside, build your own castle with our giant foam bricks while little ones will love exploring the Peter Rabbit Adventure. In the castle grounds there are miles of lakeshore paths to wander on or just unpack the picnic and take in the picture-postcard views.
