Family summer fun at Wray Castle

Children on a barefoot walk in the grounds of Wray Castle, Cumbria

Playful days are what the summer is all about and here at Wray Castle we’ve got lots to keep the whole family entertained.

Take to the water

The whole family can try their hands at sailing on England’s largest lake with these fun taster sessions.  Taking place every Friday from 28 July – 1 September. A 45 minute session costs £10 for children, £5 for adults. Children must be accompanied. See below to find out more and book.

Tick off some 50 things activites

Brave a barefoot walk, create a wild art masterpiece and hunt for bugs on our ranger lead activities, every Thursday and Saturday in the summer holidays.

Family dressing up

Our fancy dress outfits come in all shapes and sizes so choose your character and become a princess, knight, king or queen for the day!

Other fun stuff

Inside, build your own castle with our giant foam bricks while little ones will love exploring the Peter Rabbit Adventure. In the castle grounds there are miles of lakeshore paths to wander on or just unpack the picnic and take in the picture-postcard views.
