Hoist the sails! Beginners' sailing sessions at the castle

A sailing boat on Windermere

Wray Castle has teamed up with Windermere Outdoor Adventure Centre for taster sailing sessions this summer.

Pull on your buoyancy aids and join the crew on a traditional sailing boat – you’ll be part of a team of keen recruits on board, including a tactician, a helmsman and a jib sheet crew. What will your role be?

Fun for all the family

This is the perfect family activity for any budding skipper, there’s a family boat for children aged between 3-16 or for the more intrepid adventurer a ‘kids only’ boat for children aged 7-16.
