Things to see and do

Two visitors walk along the lake side in the garden at Lyme on a sunny autumnal day

Welcome in autumn at Lyme

As autumn rolls in, the leaves start to fall, temperatures cool, the days get shorter and we edge ever closer to the end of the year. Visit Lyme to see late bloomers in the garden, colourful canopies across the woodland and hear the roar of the deer as the rut begins.

Eating and shopping

Grab a bite to eat

You'll find a Refreshment Kiosk in car park and the Timber Yard Cafe is also open from 10am–4pm serving a limited range of takeaway hot and cold drinks, and some light snacks. We’ve introduced new safety measures including closure of our seating areas, screens at our till and collection points, and waymarked routes. We’ll also only be accepting card payment. We look forward to welcoming you back and know that you’ll support us to make this a safe experience for everyone.

Pop into our shop

Our shop is open from 11am, Friday to Tuesday. For the safety of staff and visitors we've introduced social distancing measures and changes to payment, which will be via card only. It is through your purchases that we are able to continue looking after Lyme for everyone, for ever.
