Tulip planting

One of the true spring highlights in the gardens is the sea of delicate tulipa 'little beauty' in the Himalayan Silver Birch Grove. We would like to thank our visitors who rolled up their sleeves and helped us plant hundreds more plants to ensure this year's display will be as good as ever.

This year we've had a slight problem with pesky squirrels developing a liking for our tulipa ' little beauty'.

Thanks to your membership, admission fees and puchases in the shop and restaurant we were able to buy hundreds of new plants to replace the missing plants.

Early in March, a number of our visitors stopped by to help us plant the young plants.

We would like to thank everyone, young and slightly older, who stopped to give a hand. Your efforts will be enjoyed by thousands of people who visit the gardens in spring.

The tulip planting was really popular and we hope to run similar events throughout the year. Please keep an eye on our website and facebook page for details of future events.

Thank-you for your support.
