Half term activities at Avebury
Stuck for something to do this half term? Why not come along to Avebury where we have some fun things for your children to immerse themselves in.
Spring nature trail
A walk around Avebury Manor Garden gives lots of opportunity to search for signs of spring from cheeky rabbits in the kitchen garden to bugs in the church garden. Pick up your trail at the Visitor Reception in the barn, trails cost £2 and there’s a small packet of wildflower seeds as a prize at the end.
Why not borrow an explorer backpack? There are two types available, one for children aged 3-6 years, and one for children 6-10 years. Each pack has six different things inside that families can explore to help them connect with nature.
Odd one out
Visit the museum where you can take part in the 'Odd one out' trail, identifying objects that shouldn’t be in the display cabinets.
Just for fun
In Avebury Manor Garden there are some traditional games for you to play, from skittles and hoopla to jenga. Why not bring a picnic and relax with your family in the Church Garden? On sunny days there are steamer chairs and picnic blankets to borrow.
