Inspiring children by bringing history to life

Childen can view the collection of prehistoric artefacts, and discover how the Avebury landscape has evolved over the last 6,000 years, through interactive exhibits.  We offer a range of activities to suit various ages.

You can request a 20-minute talk in our interactive Barn gallery, introducing your class to what life was like in prehistoric Britain and then follow this with a guided tour around the Stone Circle for groups of up to 25.

We have an onsite education room, which can be booked for classroom work, bag storage, and as a space to eat packed lunches.

To help you with pre-visit and post-visit work, take a look at our teacher's kit, which includes information sheets and activity resources.
