Vélo bike ride - road closures

On Sunday 12 May, please be aware that there is a Vélo Bike Ride taking place and some of the roads around Baddesley will be closed. Baddesley will be open as usual and the Vélo team will be facilitating access, please note that Packwood House will be closed.

On Sunday 12 May, the Midlands will be welcoming 17,000 cyclists to Birmingham, Warwickshire, Coventry, Solihull, Dudley and Sandwell for Vélo Birmingham & Midlands, a major 100-mile closed road sportive. Setting off from the centre of Birmingham, cyclists will head out on an incredible route through the heart of the Midlands taking in many magnificent sights along the way; including Packwood which will be hosting one of the pit stops.

Many of the riders will ride for charity, including 4 principle charities Alzheimer’s Society, Cure Leukaemia, NSPCC and Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. Riders will raise in the region of £2 million, which will make Vélo Birmingham & Midlands one of the most successful UK charitable sporting events of 2019!

Baddesley will be open as normal and the Vélo team will be facilitating access to the property via Netherwood Lane.
