Playday at Belton

With traditional games outside the Discovery Centre, lawn games on the Oval and of course Lincolnshire's biggest Outdoor Adventure Playground, where better to celebrate the National Day of Play than Belton this year?!

Join Belton's Play team to celebrate Playday with lots of fun and outdoor games. This year also marks Playday’s 30th birthday, so we’re going back in time with our very own Swap Shop!

A skipping rope, a whoopee cushion and Guess Who are just some of the pre-loved toys and games we have waiting at Belton’s swap shop. Located next to Belton’s Discovery Centre, the Swap Shop will be open for trading between 10am and 4pm on Wednesday (2 August).

Exchange a tennis racket for Monopoly, a Barbie for a couple packs of Top Trumps or even a teddy for a puzzle. Packed with all sorts of toys and games, the Swap Shop is all about celebrating children’s right to play. The rules of the Swap Shop are simple; children can bring their pre-loved toys and games to swap with others. We can’t, however, trade battery powered or electrical toys, so please leave the iPads at home!

The Discovery Centre will be open between 11am and 4.30pm with craft activities, and families can enjoy pond dipping by the mirror pond from 11am to 4pm.
