Man and his daughter exploring the outdoors

We have a whole host of events for you this Easter. They're sure to add a little (and sometimes chocolatey) twist to your trip to visit us. With so much to see already, why not add a little of Berrington to your spring and explore all that we have to offer.

Our holiday treats to keep you and your little explorers busy

Knicknackanory trail!

Toys, outdoor play and garden games were really popular for children of the eighteenth century, so much so that there used to be Knack shops or a 'knicknackatory' for families to buy their entertainment from.

Follow the story trail and discover the knack shop hiding at Berrington. Look! Look! Look! out for something special along the way. Who knows what exciting Georgian treats you may uncover.

Trail £2.00, normal admission fees apply.

Mansion, tea-room treats and the great outdoors this Easter

Lambs are being born, birds are chirping and Berrington couldn't be more alive. With the parkland becoming a sea of greenery and flowers, there is just so much to explore.

With so many walks stretching out into the parkland why not come for a stroll and see if you can uncover any natural pathways? Whilst you are at it, you can even find the brilliant Red Earth art exhibition; 'Genius Loci' created in 2016 to celebrate 300 years of 'Capability' Brown.

The mansion too is an adventure in itself. With several exhibitions inside and out, from 'War and Pieces' by Bouke De Vries to 'Waste to Waist' by Frock On, there's lots to see and do. Arrive with a stylish gander up the carriage way and experience the elegance of the Georgian gentry's life of luxury. Explore the contrast to the grandeur of above and go below stairs to uncover Berrington's hidden servant quarters.

Everyone needs a little break from exploring and our tea-room is open serving a seasonal menu to eat in or take out including light hot and cold lunches, served until 2.30pm, children's portions and lunchboxes, freshly made cakes and produce grown in the walled garden is also included in the menu wherever possible.
