Run for Berrington: 5K or 10K run
For the first time ever, we're inviting you to get out, experience the parkland and help Berrington as you go as we hold Run for Berrington: 5K or 10K fun-run. This is an opportunity for you to get your running shoes on and explore the parkland on our newly mapped out running route.
On Sunday 22 September we're inviting everyone to come and enjoy all that the parkland has to offer with 'Run for Berrington'. This run is an opportunity for everyone to explore the parkland in an entirely new way, and help us raise money for the critical Garden Project.
Find a new hobby, explore the parkland and help to save Berrington.
The Berrington Garden Project aims to restore, revive and reimagine the walled garden and pleasure grounds. This project not only involves carrying out the urgent conservation work on the garden walls and the rare curved section of the garden, but also developing the space to showcase creative arts, high horticulture and community engagement to create a 21st century vision for an 18th century garden. We want Berrington to feel relevant and accessible for all and for our supporters to feel the benefit in terms of their mental and physical health and wellbeing.
By taking part in Run for Berrington, you’ll not only be getting outdoors and active, you’ll also be raising funds to continue our work on this critical project, as all of the funds raised from this event will go straight towards our work.
Something to look forward to on the day
If purely being a part of something special and helping to save Berrington wasn’t enough, we also have plenty to motivate you as you go.
Once you’ve completed the 5K or 10K, whichever you prefer, you will receive the first ever edition of the Run for Berrington medal. You will also receive your very own National Trust running vest in the post.
You can also enjoy all that our Runner's Village has to offer in the courtyard. Listen to live music and pick up a hearty treat in the tea-room; there’s plenty to get excited for as you near the finish.
Age limits and booking
For the 10K the minimum age is 16, and anyone between 16 and 17 must be accompanied by an adult. For the 5K the minimum age is 12, and anyone between 12 and 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
