Villano Café

The Villano Café is the perfect spot to refuel, relax and enjoy the views across Poole Harbour. What visit to Brownsea Island would be complete without a pitstop at the café?

The Villano Café

Whether you’re after a snack to grab and go, lunch, or it’s time for tea, our Villano Café has it covered. From breakfast rolls to our famous scones and of course, ice-creams available, it is both the perfect pitstop and place to relax and have a brew with a view.

The Villano garden offers a picture-perfect spot, with views across to Sandbanks, Shell Bay and the Purbeck Hills, as well as Brownsea Castle's Family Pier - the entrance to the castle grounds. Sit back, unwind and watch the comings and goings across Poole Harbour, before setting off to explore the island or after a day’s adventure. From here you can appreciate our unique position within the busy harbour and spot how people and wildlife benefit from the location. You may spot sailing boats, fishing vessels and other recreational activities and witness the sights and sounds of the wildlife coming to and from the island simultaneously. With our resident Oystercatcher frequenting the area as well as cormorant, different species of gull and the comings and goings of the terns in spring and summer it’s a great spot to take it all in.
