It’s summer! The perfect time to get the family out in the fresh air and enjoy the outdoor spaces here at Canons Ashby.

Pick up a 50 things to do before you’re 11¾ scrapbook from the Coach House and get some ideas for making life-long memories with your younger explorers.
Here are a few activities you and the family can try out this summer at Canons Ashby.

Number 7. Fly a kite

Go out into the parkland and let your kite soar into the sky!

Number 22. Explore inside a tree

Have a wander into the parkland and see what you can find! There are several trees with interesting holes to poke around inside.

Number 25. Make a grass trumpet

Pick a nice piece of grass from the paddock or parkland and give it a go.

Number 31. Hunt for bugs

Have a closer look on the plants and ground around the site and see what little creatures you can find. Particularly in the spinney.

Number 44. Go bird watching 

Bring your binoculars and keep your eyes on the sky! There are plenty of interesting feathered friends who call Canons Ashby home.
