Christmas at Cragside

A young girl admiring the decorations in the House

Make memories this December and enjoy a festive day out with all the family. The House has decked the halls and trimmed the trees, you can join Percy the Park Keeper on some winter adventures and discover a new corner of Cragside on a winter walk in the woods.

How the Victorians made Christmas

This December the House presents how the Victorians made Christmas. The Armstrongs lived in an age of innovation, and the celebration of Christmas was no exception. Decking the halls, trimming the trees, giving wrapped presents to loved ones, and singing carols were all made fashionable by the Victorians. As you journey through the House, experience the ground floor rooms dressed to impress, each inspired by a joyful Christmas song.

Ground floor only. Dates vary during December.
