We could not achieve the amount of work we do at Cragside without the help of our volunteers. Working alongside staff, volunteers help us to meet and exceed ambitious targets.
Bring the Cragside story to life!
Whether you fancy becoming a Room Guide or a member of our behind the scenes teams, there are plenty of ways to get involved.
Inspire the next generation
Learning assistants help to deliver our varied education programme. If you are enthusiastic about helping children learn whilst having fun this could be for you.
Get out and about and help preserve our dramatic landscape
Keep fit, active and have fun supporting the Cragside Rangers in a wide variety of physical tasks. No experience necessary but an enthusiasm for being outdoors, in all weathers is essential.
Take care of our beautiful Formal Garden and Rock Garden
There are a wide range of jobs done by our garden volunteers such as mulching the Rock Garden with woodchip, weeding and giving out information in the Formal Garden.
Look after our trees
Do you enjoy working outdoors in all weathers? Would you like to help our foresters manage the Cragside landscape? Tasks range from restoring wildflower grassland, managing trees, planting, fencing & reclaiming habitats.
