A celebration of of orange sponge with frosting

The Count House Workshop at Botallack is the perfect place to stop and find out more about Cornish mining over a cup of tea and cake.

Botallack Count House Workshop was once stables for the mine horses, a workshop for the mine's carpenter and then a classroom for Penzance School of Mines.

Today it's been refurbishd as a cafe and a perfect stop on a long walk, serving hot drinks, cakes, cream teas and toasty pasties. While you're there you can also find out more about how Cornish mining changed the world.

Botallack car park is situated next to the workshop, with accessible parking and toilets in the cafe. We also have a Tramper or off-road mobility scooter to use, which is availale to allow everyone to explore the Tin Coast, just ask a member of the team for more information.
