Family fun at Felbrigg

Children looking at creatures captured in pots

This summer spend some time following the Family Summer Trail along an all weather circular route of 2.4Km with lots of things to do along the way.

The trail

Following the route of the Victory V walk which is suitable for robust pushchairs and battery powered vehicles. There are some moderate slopes so it is recommended that manual wheelchair users are accompanied.

Some of the things you can do:

Walk on Sunshine -  in a patch of sunlight in the woodland take the time to look up and see how the light comes through the trees and down at the shadows made by the leaves; see how they move with the breeze.  What can you hear, what can you smell?

Build a wigwam - on the trail you will find an area made expecially for you to do this. How good will yours be when it rains?

Look through the Sycamore tree without a middle!

Search for bugs under fallen leaves.

Make a face out of sticks - you can make almost anything out of a pile of sticks, leaves and grass.  Let your imagination run riot.

Pick up a leaflet in Reception detailing the trail and all the things you can do along it.
