There are miles of footpaths and trails for you to explore around the estate. Explore the woodland High Ride path through the estate or have a wander through the high-sided Seven Bridges Valley. Wherever you choose to go, grab your boots and stretch your legs!

Our walking trails can be very popular. Please pre-book tickets to park at the visitor centre. Our Studley and West Gate entrances are currently closed, which might affect some walking routes. Please check our homepage for the most up to date information about visiting.

The Lost Spa trail 

Take in some of the best countryside around Ripon with a walk through woodland, a high sided valley and medieval deer park on this walk to explore the ruins of a lost spa.

An easy walk through the Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal Estate, exploring the significant stages in the estate's history from 1132 to 1987.

In the Footsteps of Monks 

Walk in the monks' footsteps from Brimham Rocks to Fountains Abbey, following the ancient trail. There are excellent views from Riva Hill to Brimham Rocks.
