Fishing heritage preserved at Carrick-a-Rede

Day one

Kickstart your weekend of exploring with a Sea Safari from Ballycastle Harbour to Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. Or if you prefer to stay on dry land, take the Carrick-a-Rede coastal walk - part of the Causeway Coast Way. Hop over the wooden slats of the rope bridge and keep an eye out for rare seabirds from Carrick-a-Rede Island. Head to The French Rooms to refuel before taking a walk down to the famous hexagonal stones and climb the Shepherd's Steps.

Day two

Try your hand at surfing on one of the many spectacular beaches along the Causeway Coast. There are several schools offering surfing and stand-up paddle boarding lessons. If surfing isn't your bag, why not try horse riding lessons at Sheans Horse Farm in Armoy? Once you've worked up an appetite, head to one of the many eateries in the seaside resort of Portrush.

Portstewart Strand

Day three

Enjoy a bracing walk along Portstewart Strand. Call in at Paper Fig for a bite of lunch or coffee. Enjoy a round at one of the many golf courses along the stretch of coastline between Portballintrae, Portstewart, Portrush and Ballycastle.
