Christmas at Gibside
Christmas is all about traditions. Whether you're looking to celebrate old ones that have been carried on through the generations, create new family memories or simply escape the hustle and bustle of the high street, we're open and hope you'll join us.
Throughout December you can join in the festive feeling at Gibside.
From 1 December at 11am, we need your help to lookout for certain things that don't quite look right.

Pick up a trail sheet from visitor reception and head off to see where Peppermint, Berry, Otis, Merry, Elm and Twinkle have been. Good luck, you can share your findings with us on facebook and twitter.
After your adventure perhaps a well-deserved rest in the cafe is what you need. Here, you can admire the hand work of the Sewing Group. Their handmade '12 days of Christmas' banners are up once more, taking centre stage.
Set up as part of the Heritage Lottery Funded project, the 3 Rs, the group now meet every Thursday to create wonderful pieces of art. Anyone can join in.
This year, the group have produced five wonderful banners which you can see as you wander around Market Place.
There are even more ways that you can get involved too:
