Wrap up warm and join us at Gibside this Christmas. We've got a Christmas trail, concerts in the chapel and scrumptious mince pies.

This Georgian garden will be decorated with traditional wreaths, garlands and trees, providing a warm welcome to everyone.

There's lots of family fun to be had on this year's Christmas trail. Stroll around the gardens and admire handmade works by Gibside Sewing Group. The '12 days of Christmas' banners will be making an appearance once more and there will be a few more surprises in store.

Escape the hustle and bustle of the busy shopping centres and indulge in a relaxing shopping experience in the quaint shop. Yes, it may be on the small side however, there are a range of Christmas cards, gorgeous gifts and more, including yummy treats perfect for entertaining. Alongside a delicious menu in the cafe, there'll be mince pies and mulled wine.

Stay a little longer

Stay a little longer and enjoy the festivities for the nights before Christmas. On Saturdays 8, 11 and 15 December, 6-9pm, there'll be local street food traders and live music. The log burners and fire braziers will be lit and we'll be serving mulled wine. The ideal way to get into the Christmas mood. BE £

Winter nature trail

During January there are still lots of things to see and do at Gibside. Perfect for the whole family, the self-led winter nature trail running from 26 December to 1 February will help you to uncover Gibside's secrets; From listening to birds and spotting berries to measuring the height of a tree.
