You will discover a selection of outdoor games to play on the lawns, with plenty of space to roam free and make the most of the fresh summer air. Spend time discovering traditional favourites and novel garden games. You may want to start some friendly competition under the sun!
Get curious about nature - feel the tickly grass underfoot, smell the flowery scents and listen to the buzzing and twittering of wildlife all around you. Get involved with ’50 things to do before you’re 11 3/4’ and find natural ways to connect with the wild. There are so many different ways to make the most of ‘50 things’ at Gunby.
Picnics are welcome throughout the Gunby gardens and grounds. Whether you like a sunny spot on the middle of the lawn at the back of the house, or a shady pitch under one of the many trees, there's lots of space for everyone at Gunby. The tea-room located in the courtyard is a great place to stock up on some additional food including sandwiches, cakes, ice-cream and more. You can also purchase refreshing hot/cold beverages (check opening times page for detailed opening information).
To ensure we have space for you, we recommend pre-booking tickets. Tickets guarantee entry to the car park and gardens. The house is closed Thursdays and Fridays and cannot be pre-booked.
