We stock a variety of presents and treats, as well as items for the home and garden. There is always a great mix of local products as well from our National Trust favourites.

Loving local

Here at Hinton Ampner, we are committed to supporting local businesses as much as we can.  A particular favourite is Long Barn Lavender.  For over a decade, Long Barn has been growing and distilling lavender at their Hampshire farm, producing an exclusive range of wonderful aromatic beauty and bath products made entirely from natural ingredients.

Spring plants

With the warmer weather rolling in, our plant centre is beginning to spring to life. We are delighted to stock the 'Sunny Sky' Rose of the Year 2016. This hybrid tea rose produces large flowers with a slight fruity fragrance.

We also have the pretty sarcococca confusa which originated in China and the Himalayas and has small delicate flowers which produce a rich scent.

In the Hinton Ampner shop we have a beautiful new garden range with a unique print inspired by a sprig of oak leaves carved into a beam in the hall at Alfriston Clergy, the first property acquired by the National Trust in 1896.

Second-hand bookshop

That book you’ve always meant to read may be waiting for you in the well-stocked second-hand bookshop by the plant centre. Every penny taken here goes back to helping us with our projects and conservation work.
