From historic manor houses to rustic farmhouses, we have plenty of large cottages to choose from for your family gathering or friends holiday. Or you might like a neighbouring group of smaller cottages.

Every year we restore and refurbish holiday cottages across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Here are our newest large holiday cottages and group stays.

Cross Lane House, Somerset

Cross Lane House, Somerset 

This house has plenty of room to gather, in one of two sitting rooms, by the bar or on the garden's raised deck. Its unusual layout, with a first floor that's divided into two, works really well for two families holidaying together. It's in a little village in Exmoor National Park and close to the South West Coast Path and miles of trails through the countryside. Sleeps eight.

Cwmmau Farmhouse, Herefordshire 

This grand medieval farmhouse is full of original features with huge oak beams, stone, oak and elm floors and leaded windows, as well as spacious bedrooms and bathrooms and plenty of room to gather, inside and out. Sleeps 10.

Thorington Hall, Suffolk 

This striking farmhouse has fine historic detailing and walks from the doorstep. Dog friendly. Sleeps 16.

This is is one of Suffolk's oldest houses, and it's full of charm and original features.

There's a snug as well as a sitting room, a spacious kitchen with a range cooker, and a large dining room. This house has woodburner for cosy evenings and modern facilities too.

It has eight beautiful bedrooms and five bathrooms.

Outside there’s a large, enclosed garden with an orchard, stables and a badminton net.

This quirky holiday cottage was once an isolation hospital and has views over the Purbeck Hills. Dog friendly. Sleeps eight.

Millbeck Towers, Cumbria 

This impressive 18th-century carding mill is a Lake District escape for friends and family get-togethers, with views of Skiddaw and the fells towards Derwentwater. Dog friendly. Sleeps 12.

This Grade I-listed house sits in a medieval knot garden with views over the Peak District. Dog friendly. Sleeps 10.

With panoramic views over Robin Hood’s Bay, this cottage offers coast and countryside on the doorstep. Dog friendly. Sleeps eight.

The Pentires, Cornwall 

Pentire Head Farmhouse and Pengirt have an optional interconnecting door, and together sleep 12 people. This handsome building is part of an ancient farmstead on the Pentire headline in North Cornwall. There are miles of coastal paths, with the chance to spot grey seals, skylarks and peregrine falcons.

Hop Kiln Mews and the neighbouring cottages, Hop Kiln Cart Barn, Hop Kiln Farmhouse and Kiln Barn, Herefordshire

The Hop Kilns, Herefordshire 

Next door to Hop Kiln Farmhouse, you'll find Kiln Barn, Hop Kiln Cart Barn and Hop Kiln Mews. Together, they sleep 18 people and have shared gardens. These cottages are on the Brockhampton estate, with its miles of walking trails and moated medieval manor house.

1 and 2 Bagden Farm Cottages, Surrey 

Surrounded by lovely countryside, 1 Bagden Farm Cottage and 2 Bagden Farm Cottage can be booked for up to 12 guests. They have some shared outside space as well as their own private courtyards, perfect for friends and family holidaying together.

Greenwood Farm, Derbyshire 

With view of Eyam Moor and fields, woodland and heather moorland all around, you'll find Wilson Farmhouse, Millstone Barn and Gorsey Bank Barn. Trails lead to the Longshaw estate, less than a mile away, for expansive views and and spotting red deer. The Gritstone Edges are nearby. Together they sleep 16 people.

This group of four converted barns near Sheringham Park have views over the North Norfolk coast. Together they sleep 15 guests.

The area surrounding Craflwyn Hall, Gwynedd

Cottages at Craflwyn, Wales 

Craflwyn Hall, its converted stable buildings and neighbouring cottage are set in 200 acres of dramatic valley scenery. Together they sleep up to 39 guests.

Cottages at Fountain Abbey, Yorkshire 

We care for 13 places to stay at Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Some are right next to each other, and others are scattered across the estate.

Four cottages at Golden Cap 

There are four cottages - Beech, Ash, Elm and Oak - in a thatched farmhouse a short walk from the sea on the Golden Cap estate. Together they sleep 17 guests.
