Girl entering a haz bale maze

THIS INFORMATION IS ABOUT OUR 2019 EVENTS. CHECK BACK FOR UPDATES. Join us to celebrate harvest time this autumn. Our annual Apple Fest kicks off harvest season, the child-friendly hay bale maze is open every weekend from Saturday 28 September to Sunday 27 October and we have willow weaving workshops for grown-ups.

Hay Maze

Constructed from over 300 bales of golden straw to entertain everyone from toddlers to adults, this maze is part of our Harvest Fest celebration at Morden Hall Park.

Apple Fest

Visit the Stableyard to taste Merton varieties not commonly found, collect your fresh juice and try a range of harvest goodies from our pop-up stall. Enjoy a 20% discount on fruit trees at Morden Hall Park Garden Centre, where you can also pick up tips on fruit tree cultivation.

To round off your day, warm up at the Potting Shed Café with a tasty slice of seasonal toffee apple cake.

Willow workshops

Celebrate the changing seasons at our autumn workshops with the basketweaver Emily Hall. Come and spend an enjoyable and rewarding half day learning English Willow basketry techniques and weaving your own decorative shopping basket. You will learn how to make the woven base, stake up the sides, do waling weaves and randing and make a 'trac' border and a roped handle.

Suitable for beginners - participants do not need any prior experience of weaving.
