Enjoy a traditional Victorian Christmas at Penrhyn Castle

Switch off from the commercial grind and escape to a more mellow festive season. Step back in time and experience a traditional Victorian Christmas at Penrhyn Castle.

" My family have lots of festive fun exploring Penrhyn Castle and meeting Father Christmas! It's a great day out."
- Cathy Heavers, Visitor

Leave the high street far behind as you listen to Bangor Community Choir sing Christmas carols around the fireplace in the decorated Grand Hall, complete with Christmas tree.

Little ones can enjoy an interactive version of Dicken's classic 'A Christmas Carol' delivered in character by our professional storyteller.

Exclusive for Christmas

This Christmas, visitors will be given a special behind the scenes glimpse into Lord Penrhyn's sitting room, decorated for Christmas, and make a Christmas wish in our magical secret room.

Below stairs

Head to the Victorian kitchens where you will meet the Castle's busy servants and be given the opportunity to help them to make colourful paper candles to hang on your tree at home.

Get your mince pie fix at our Christmas cake stall and enjoy a festive punch around the roaring fire.

Ho, ho, ho...

No Christmas visit would be complete without a visit from the big man in red himself. Santa will indeed be coming to town and there will be a chance to meet him in our breakfast room as he stops over at the Castle. (Additional £5 per child, includes gift)

On a cold and frosty morning

What better way to leave the modern world behind than by stepping into nature and exploring the wintry garden and grounds - before enjoying a warming coffee in the castle tea room.

Top it all, a visit to the Castle will be included in the garden entry price as a special Christmas bonus.

Come along and enjoy a traditional family Christmas with us this year. Saturday and Sunday 12th and 13th December from 12pm - 3pm.
