Meet our Run Leaders: Emma Ralph
Run Leader, Penrhyn Castle

Meet Emma Ralph, one of our trained Run Leaders. Emma will be leading our Beginners Running Groups in 2016 and to get to know her a little better we gave her a light grilling!

Tell us a little about Emma...
I’m originally from North Wales and have just returned after living away for the past 20 years.
I took up running when I turned 30, I wanted to get fit and change my lifestyle which at that point was eating, smoking and drinking too much.
10 years on I am still running and loving my changed lifestyle.
Why did you decide to volunteer as Run Leader?
I work at a desk on my own all day and embrace any opportunity to be outside and meet new people. I also hope I can help and inspire people to change their lifestyle and running is a great way to begin.
Favourite place to run?
Always along or by a beach. The run from Llanfairfechan to Penrhyn Castle is breathtaking, I love trails.

Do you have a running related ambition?
I take part in sprint triathlons now, so my running ambition is to get my 5k time down. I would also love to run a mountain, that is a must this year.
Post run…Coffee and cake or tea and biscuits?
I am a sucker for cake, and I have been having way too much this winter. I think I would live on cake if I could.
What’s under your bed?
Nothing. I am annoyingly tidy and hate clutter.
