There's plenty to see and do at Polesden Lacey this autumn, from food festivals to scary Shakespearean villains.
Sunday 4 September, 10am-5pm
Bet on your favourite donkey and find out which dog has the waggiest tail at Donkey Derby. Enjoy a day of donkey races, dog shows, traditional funfair games and live bands, as well as local food stalls and gifts galore.
All the money raised by the Leatherhead Lions at Donkey Derby is donated towards local charities, including the Unlocking Polesden appeal.
Free entry all day.
Scary Shakespeare half-term trail
Saturday 22 - Monday 31 October
This Halloween half-term, step into Shakespeare’s world with a trail inspired by some of his most terrifying characters – from gruesome ghouls to bloodthirsty villains.

6, 13, 22, 27 and 29 September, begins at dusk
Join our rangers at dusk for a guided walk to learn about and find some of the 12 varieties of bats that live on the Polesden Lacey estate. Using bat detectors you’ll be able to hear them flying around, and you may even catch a glimpse of some.

Enjoy some of the best food the local area has to offer, from cookery demonstrations to everyone’s favourite: samples to taste!
