Our journey, one year on

Daffodils in front of Shugborough

On the 21st March, we celebrated our first year anniversary of being run as a National Trust property

We have achieved so much in our first year. We have welcomed over 180,000 visitors and have seen several accomplishments, such as opening the Lichfield Apartment, creating our play area with the help of local schools, and achieving RSPCA Freedom Foods accreditation for our livestock.

What we have done in our first year

Explore some of what we have been up to in our first year

We are already well underway with plans for the future development of the estate. We have recently had results back from a geophysical survey that has unearthed some interesting finds.

Exciting archaeological finds

We have recently conducted a large archaeological survey, which has unearthed some exciting discoveries

We could not have achieved what we have without the incredible support of our volunteers. Currently, we need more people in our Mansion to help us share our stories, and join us on our exciting journey in the future. Can you help us?
